However, a significant part in the French composer’s heritage is occupied by vocal and choral compositions. The genre of romance, with which Berlioz had started his composing activities, reflects the basic principles of his style as a composer. The edition includes romances to lyrics by T. Gautier, V. Hugo, A. de Leuven, E. Legouvé.
